My way or the... Autobahn!

So to begin this short-lived, but not to be forgotten, entry into the blogging world, I'd like to preface with some self-promotion. In a not entirely true statement, I pre-maturely proclaim this blog as the best 3 week long journal you will ever read. For those of you unaware of what I'm talking about, allow me to explain. Starting December 15th, I'll be flying out to Europe for a 3 week long journey. I plan to visit some of the best cities and towns that Europe has to offer, to sample the best of local cuisines and to get myself into as much trouble as possible, while holding on to my US passport for a quick getaway(of course).

Essentially I created this blog for my family and friends to be able to follow me on my uninhibited journey through Europe without killing my cell-phone bill with roaming charges or having me retell the same stories and show the same photos to each individual. I also foresee writing daily entries as plain fun, although I might have to restrain myself and keep it PG rated as my family will be reading it. My goal is to make is as much fun for me to write as I would hope it is for someone to read. I'd like for the blog to be informative yet anecdotal. Some entries might be one or the other, but I just might get lucky and hit with both humor and facts. I'll share some history as I come across it, or wikipedia it, and will make some general observations.

So what am I going to do in Europe? Good question and frankly I'm still working out the kinks. The goal is to pick up a really fast car and drive it on the autobahns of Germany and Austria, making incredible memories and experiences along the way.
